This week was chalk full of incredible performances sprinkled across several meets including Merrimack and Bobcat Invitationals. Many instances seemed to be a preview of things to come, and to be honest, the decisions this week were the toughest of the season. However, we do realize we have several weeks left to highlight the very best. Remember to check in below for other notable performances from the weekend.
Oyster River’s Ty Dorow swept the sprint events at his final Bobcat Invitational winning the 100, 400, and 200. Of note, Dorow broke 11 (10.92) for the first time and posted the second fastest 200 in the state with a 22.24. And while he has certainly run faster in the 400 this season, his management of his day showcasing his range was masterful.
Speaking of being great over multiple disciplines demonstrating phenomenal athleticism Bedford’s Anika Scott did just that by sweeping the High Hurdles and Long Jump at the Bobcat. Not only did she sweep them but she posted the fasted High Hurdle time in the state with a 14.52 as well as the furthest Long Jump in the state with a mark of 18’5.75″.

Girls
Scott was not the only Bedford athlete turning heads this weekend, as her teammate Fiona Lee also had a great day at Bobcat pushing PCA’s Brianna Malone in the 1600 running 5:08 and winning the 800 later in the meet running the second fastest time in the state (to Malone) and fastest in D1.
Pinkerton’s Jordan Wheaton won 3 events, both hurdle events and High Jump, at Merrimack and set a meet record in the High Hurdles.
North’s Jhanelle Thomas swept the 400 and 200 at Merrimack,
Merrimack’s Alexis Best jumped 38’8″ in the Triple Jump! Tops in the state by 2 feet!
Once again, Pinkerton’s Briana Danis swept the Shot and Discus!
Boys
CBNA’s Aidan Cox placed 2nd overall at the 54th Loucks Games in NY on Friday. He dove to an 8:58.35 coming an agonizing .03 short of being the first NH athlete to win there. Leading the race until the last straightaway, Cox closed in a 61, while the winner closed in a 57. Hats off!
Bedford’s Christopher Chong swept both Hurdle events at the Bobcat posting the top High Hurdle time in the state in the process.
Gilford’s Isaiah Reese is at it again as he won the Javelin with a toss of 179’3″while also running a 22.58 in the 200!
South’s Rory Olsen swept the Hurdle events at Merrimack breaking the meet record in the 300 meter hurdles in the process.
Londonderry’s Andrew Kullman broke the High Jump meet record at Merrimack clearing 6’6″.
Pinkerton’s 4×100 broke the Merrimack meet record posting a 43.35.
