Most of the largest schools in the state of New Hampshire and some from Massachusetts will be on hand Saturday at Nashua North for their annual invitational. The weather is heating up and so should the times on the track!

Athletes to watch on the girl’s side include the following:
- The sprints will include 9th grade superstar Grace Devanny (Concord) in
the 100 meters and 200 meters. She has posted fantastic early season dual meet times in the 100, 200, and 400. She will be tested by Amy Arena (Milford) in the 200 meter run. - The girls 400 meter has a loaded field with 300m indoor champ Elise Renahan (Timberlane), 300m indoor runner-up Katya Levasseur (Central) and returning MOC 3rd finisher Mollie Simpson (Memorial).
- Look for Siaoli Wright in the girl’s 300 meter hurdles to challenge battlenotes leader Alanna Murphy (Nashua South).
- How high will Danielle Ploublon (BG) go in the high jump?
- The jumps will feature superstars Yorgelis Ortiz (Londonderry) and Mikayla Hickey (Souhegan) indoor Division 1 and Division 2 State Champs respectively.
- Kaleigh Dozois (Nashua North) will look to take the Shot on her home sector.
Athletes to watch on the Boy’s side include the following:
- One of the deepest NH fields in the boys 100m and 200m. It is a wide open race in the 100 meter between Dalton Mutz (Concord), his teammate Angel Feliz (Concord), Nico Bucciero (Pinkerton), Devin Cross (Memorial), and Edward Vargas (Nashua North).
- Andrew Scarlotto (Portsmouth) will look to take it to the Division 1 boys in the 400m and the 200 meter run.
- In the boy’s 800, there looks to be a number of boys with the ability to break the 2 minute barrier, including Niall Kimball (Timberlane), Jake Swanney (Timberlane), Erik Little (Dover), and Nolin Cooney (Central).
- The boys 2 mile should be a closely contested race between Pinkerton’s stars Tom Hanlon and Jeff Reddy, as well as Alvirne’s Kendall Westoff.
- Trevor Guay (Londonderry) will look to contend in both the Long Jump and the 300 meter hurdles.
- As always the meet will conclude with the 4×400 meter relay. Merrimack is usually the team to watch in that event.
Lancer Timing Services always has done an excellent job running this meet as well as all of their meets. For those of you that don’t know the NH Track and Field community and co-founder of Lancer Timing, Rich Nagy, passed away this week. Rick Berryman and Rich Nagy have done more than I can express to you for the sport of track and field in New Hampshire. Certainly Rich will be missed, but his memory will continue to live on in New Hampshire through the excellent services Lancer Timing provides each and every one of us.
