We (NHTF) were also successful with our first outdoor livestream. The MV Invite Meet Hub brought to you by the law firm of Orr & Reno (thanks!!!), which has yesterday’s results and livestream, will be updated with 2017 interviews and photos soon. Below are the highlights from yesterday!
Girls:
Oyster River absolutely dominated the sprints! The Lady Bobcats placed 1st (Devan McClain 13.27) and 3rd (Laurel Gordon 13.51) in the 100; 1st (Xiana Twombly 26.75), 3rd (Ameila Concannon 27.64) and 4th (Eleanor Zwart 27.86) in the 200; swept the top 3 in the 400
with Zwart (61.48), Concannon (62.36) and Gordon (64.64). To top it off, they won the 4×100 in 51.86. Considering the guidance of Coach Nick Ricciardi couple with a new track and field facility, watch out for what this group of young sprinters will accomplish in 2017!
Lebanon’s Kath Merchant won two events in consecutive year, but this time it was the Shot Put (36’10”) and Discus (123’11”). Here teammate Corinne Kennedy also won two individual events with a leap of 17’5″ (meet record!) in the Long Jump and a solo effort of 2:15.12 in the 800.
Host Merrimack Valley also boasted Kaitlyn Covell’s sweeping the hurdles in 16.62 and 49.28. It could be argued however that teammate Kristie Schoffield, in her last MV Invite had the best overall day by winning the 1600 in 5:06.80 and anchoring the winning 4×800 and 4×400 meter relays.
Boys:
Can someone say rivalry??? Well, if you are one who loves a good ole’ fashioned mano a mano, back and forth, look no further than the hurdle events. Trinity’s Oliver Thomas and MV’s Brandon Wood exchanged victories with Thomas taking the Highs (14.91) and Wood (40.04) blasting the Intermediates breaking D’Mahl McFadden’s 2011 meet record in the process!! Laying claim to outstanding performer, Wood was part of two victorious relays in the 4×100 and 4×400.
Lebanon’s Ryan Sullivan swept the High Jump (6’0″) and Long Jump (20’5″). 
Goffstown’s Oliver Gunski swept the Shot Put (46’8″) and Discus (142’11”).
Gunski may have been hard pressed in the javelin as Somersworth continues its tradition by taking the top two spots with Zach Andrews (147’9″) and JT Laurian (143’10”).
Campbell’s Jeffrey Allen also had himself a day in the distance events. While placing second (4:35.90) to Monadnock’s James Elmour in the 1600 (4:34.91), he out-dueled Coe-Brown’s Evan Tanguay in the 3200 to win in a personal record 9:53.43 to 9:56.90.
