Summer Track Meets! MV Cubs!!

The MV Cubs Track and Field Program in Penacook, NH will be hosting open track meets at the Merrimack Valley High School track on Thursday evenings during July and August!

The meets will begin at 6:00 pm with registration starting at 5:00 pm. There will be a small entry fee. The format of the meets will be similar to the Thursday Meets at Manchester’s Livingston Park that went on for almost two decades. The meets are short (60-90 mins, with rotating events each week).

They’re open to all ages and skill levels. We’re all very excited about these meets and we hope that many people can attend.

  1. The Livingston meets will be continuing and were never going away! James Porter the Derryfield xcountry and track coach will be carrying on the tradition. This Saturday’s Union Leader will have a story about it. It is great to see other meets popping up but the rumors have been that this meet is replacing the Livingston Meets.

    1. Hi Brian,
Three weeks ago at the MOC meet, I talked to Kelly and she didn’t mention anything about the tradition continuing in Livingston Park. In fact, she wanted our contact information to direct anyone still interested in her summer series to ours. We apologize for using the information to promote our meets, but we simply didn’t know that they were being organized by someone else. For those reading these messages in confusion, there will be two meets going on at the same time. There is nothing wrong with that and it’s good for youth track & field. However, the MV Cubs, Concord Flyers and the Hopkinton youth program were pretty much the bulk of the crowd in Livingston Park, over the past few summers. We decided to join hands and organize out own meet; for our kids, and whoever else wants to come.

      1. Thanks Sandu. It is great for track and field and a good opportunity for Manchester to get more people out. Here is to a great summer of running.
