2018 Track and Field Seasons Wrap up!

This past weekend saw a handful of Granite Staters make the trip down to Greensboro, NC for the HS National Championships.  A 3-day extravaganza of a track and field festival, NH has had a habit of having a number of All-Americans each year.  This year, after placing 12th in 2017, Mr. NHTF Billy Powers earned All-American status by placing 5th in 13.97!  He followed that up with a 15th place finish in the 400 Hurdles (yes 400) in 54.38.  Pinkerton’s John King placed 10th in the nation throwing the javelin 186’9″.  CBNA’s Kathleen Collins placed 20th throwing the discus 132’11”, while the Concord boys 4×1 mile team placed 24th in 18:35.19.  Highlighting the emerging elite division, Souhegan girls placed 5th in the 4×800 in 9:25.04 and 18th in the Distance Medley Relay in 12:39.49.
