At Footlocker yesterday, Merrimack Valley’s Sophia Reynolds was NH’s top finisher placing an agonizing 11th (top 10 qualify for Footlocker Nationals) in 18:30 at the storied Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, NY.  Hats off to Reynolds however as this was a fantastic capper to an extraordinary freshman year campaign which saw Reynolds rise to the top of the Granite State and New England.  She most certainly will be back and in the mix of contenders to qualify for a Nationals meet in the coming years.   Conv-Val’s Rachel Hurley and Clare Veverka also competed placing 38th (19:28) and 47th (19:38) respectively.   BG’s Caroline Towle placed 53rd in 19:42. Inter-Lakes Maya Weil-Cooley placed 59th in 19:49 while Belmont’s Alice Riley also made the trip to place 76th in 20:06.

On the boy’s side, the top finisher from NH was PEA’s Will Coogan placing 24th in 16:16.  Exeter’s Jake Winslow placed 42nd in 16:33 while Keene’s Jake Velazquez was 47th in 16:37. MV’s David Reynolds was 62nd in 16:45 and Mascenic’s Landen Vaillancourt placed 82nd in 16:59.

Up the Hudson at Nike Cross Northeast Regional, Concord’s Forest MacKenzie was NH’s top boys’ finisher placing 20th in 16:30 over the challenging, hilly, muddy Bowdoin Park in Wappingers Falls, NY to make the All-Northeast team.  He was followed by the hard charging Jeffrey Allen (Campbell) who placed 24th in 16:42 and Aidan Cox (26th, 16:47).

MacKenzie led NH#1 Concord to a 13th place finish. Coe-Brown’s Wyatt Mackey ( 48th, 17:03) and Luke Tkaczyk (49th, 17:03) led the Bears (NH#3) to an 18th place finish.

On the girls’ side Coe-Brown’s Addison Cox was NH’s top finisher placing 16th in 19:31.  Kearsarge’s Mya Dube joined Cox on the All-Northeast team as she placed 18th clocking 19:40. Souhegan’s Arielle Zlotnick and Chloe Trudell placed 23rd (19:48) and 27th (19:55) respectively to pace the Sabers (NH#3) to a 13th place finish as NH’s top team.   Coe-Brown placed 16th.

Congrats to all on a great season!!!
