WHAT: Oregon International Track Meet – Track weekend in Eugene. The Scottish, British, and Wales teams were on their way to Brisbane for the Commonwealth Games. Sebastian Coe and Steve Ovett were to race last of 3 races they were scheduled to run that summer. Neither was healthy to compete. Members of those teams, plus many other International stars competed at Hayward Field.
