2020 Middle School State Championships

For the 1st time in 47 years, the NH Middle School State Championship in Cross Country will not be held.  As I considered what to do, several people encouraged me to try to have a very limited meet , with only the top 7 runners from each team competing, for those schools that were in fact offering middle school sports.  I personally think that would most likely be impossible to pull off safely during the current pandemic.  However, more importantly, it would go against the philosophy of the meet which is, and always has been,  to provide a competitive big meet experience for ALL middle school cross country runners.  My plan is to return next year on the next to the last Saturday in October—the date that the meet has been on for 46 years.  Put October 23, 2021 on your calendar.

Best of luck to all.
