This week we feature athletes of the week from the Clipper Relays and the Frosh-Soph meets. For the girls we have to feature the state record breakers from Nashua South 4×100 meter relay team. Ortiz, Braswell, Cruz and Ross ran 48.40 to break the 2016 record set by Milford of 48.68. This in relatively cooler temperatures hovering around 50 degrees. We are certinly interested in how fast this team can get when temperatures rise!
On boys side we shift to the Kiwanis Freshman-Sophomore meet and the Triple Jump where Exeter Thoran Kirsten-Guiler hopped, skipped, and jumped to a new D1 leading 41’6″ in the triple jump. Not bad for a 10 grader. We are eager to see what this jumper can do not only the rest of the season but also over the next couple years.
Congrats to the ladies from Nashua South 4×100 and Thoran Kirsten-Guiler, this week’s HOKA Athletes of the Week.
Shout-Outs!!!
