HOKA Athletes of the Week! New England Champions Pinkerton’s Jordan Wheaton & Gilford’s Patrick Gandini

This week we celebrate the New Englands and select 2 New England Champions from the most unique regional meet of the nation.

NH State Champion, Pinkerton’s Jordan Wheaton, dominant the entire season in NH, continued to dominate on the regional level as she won the High Hurdles in 14.60.  The runner-up from Bethel, CT cross in 14.74. The race was of course close, it is New Englands, but Wheaton calmly (seemingly) executed running the hurdles to the title.  Congratulations!

Gilford’s Patrick Gandini ran another graceful, intelligent race. The NH State Champion did not have an easy time of it.  Taking the lead a little after midway, he did not simply pull away from the pack.  He was challenged and passed.  But rather than break, Gandini showed his experience and quite simply, his strength and speed to gather, repass and pull away for the win in an impressive 4:09.01!

Congrats to Pinkerton’s Jordan Wheaton and Gilford’s Patrick Gandini, this week’s HOKA Athletes of the Week!
