HOKA Athletes of the Week! North’s Jhanelle Thomas & Pinkerton’s Matthew Morrison

This week’s HOKA Athletes of the Week were two of the more dominant athletes from this past weekend’s final qualifier meets. Both won several events for their teams creating great momentum heading into this weekend’s state championships at Plymouth State University on Sunday.

Nashua North’s Jhanelle Thomas ran the 2nd fastest time in the state with an 8.45. She also won the 300 at PEA with a 42.20. This time vaults her to #2 in D1. Thomas is one of the most versatile track and field athletes in the state. Look for her to make a huge impact come Sunday.

Pinkerton’s Matthew Morrison, who continued his breakout season by winning the Hurdles in 7.75, then the Dash in 6.54 and finally the 300 meters in 36.21. Of course he also helps out on relays! So like Thomas, he can lay claim to perhaps the most versatile sprinter as his time in the Hurdles is now tops in D1, the Dash is tied for 2nd, and the 300 is 3rd in D1.
