Given the time between the NH State Meets and the New England Championships, qualified athletes usually head to Boston for a few meets to race fast and stay sharp.
BU’s Valentine’s

- Leanny Ortiz Blanco posted a 7.86 in the 60 meter dash.
- Macy Sawyer ran a 58.97 in the 400!
- Haley Kavanagh 4:50.18, Mikita Barry 4:54.02, Mackenzie Cook 4:54.84, Madelyn Cook 5:18.13 – NH girls distance is strong!!!
- Madeleine Lane 9:58.93 – this is considerably impressive as Hopkinton does not have an indoor track team so she is doing this training solo!
- NH sprinting remain strong: 60 meters – Samuel Bruneau 7.25; Kendrick Edwards 7.28, Avery Wilson 7.28, Kody McCranie 7.48 and then the 200 meters – Wilson 22.11, Bruneau 22.25, McCranie 22.32, Edwards 22.56,
- And of course BG’s Matthew Giardina improved in the 3000 meters to 8:25.87!
The Circuit

- Jhanelle Thomas won the 60 Meter Dash in 8.05. Great for her as she was certainly under the weather at the state championships.
- Giardina won the Youth Mile in 4:18.43
- 800 at the Circuit saw names like Joshua Twomey (1:58.38), Jason Robie (1:59.64), Ethan Pulsifer (2:00.24), Trainor Mailloux (2:00.69), Carson Fitzgerald (2:00.69) and Luc Kerouac (2:01.56), and freshman Patrick Youngs 2:06 and change.
- Concord’s Shelly Smith posted a 5:20 mile.
- Sanborn’s Jake Pitre won the Youth 2 Mile.
- And in the 200, 3 Granite Staters posted the exact same time of 23.45!

USATF @ Harvard

- Anika Scott won the 60m High Hurdles in 8.56, Grace Dow was 3rd in 9.25; Scott also went on to win the Long Jump soaring 19’6.75″. Eshaya Lauder placed 3rd with a mark of 18’5.75″
- D2 1500 meter champ Daniel Dalbec stepped up in distance to break 16 minutes in the 5000 meters crossing at 15:58.29
- Giardina returned to the mile and posted a 4:19.02 to place 3rd. Teammates Carson Fischer posted a 4:27.57 with little brother Ethan crossing in 4:40.62.
- Madelyn Cook posted a 2:22.85 800 showing impressive range. She quietly has had a super strong indoor campaign!
- The 800 also saw a group of Granite Staters as Peyton Joslyn (2:00.51), Mitchell Keesee (2:02.55), and Isaac Nudd-Homeyer (2:06.33) all ran strong.
