Record Breaker Shout Outs!

NHXCTF Records Page

Granite Staters basically had 1 or 2 good weather days conducive to breaking some records. They had to take advantage of those days, one of which was the Meet of Champions. This post is a roll call for all the record breakers over the championship season celebrating both state and division records. Remember, an outdoor NH State record can be set at any NHIAA sanctioned meet when there is fully automatic timing AND a wind gauge to avoid wind-aided times. For field events, there needs to also be a wind gauge on the runways for jumps, as well as throwing implements and measurements have to be certified by a NH State official to ensure authenticity of the performance. Regarding Division records, think of them as “meet” records as they can only be set during the respective NH Division Championships. Finally, the post season championship meets, including national meets, are not sanctioned by any state association, so those performances do not qualify for state records.

So congrats to the following state record breakers! You are NH State Record holders!!!

Concord’s Grace Saysaw claimed 2 state records. She set the current 200 meter record of 24.29 at New Englands after breaking the then oldest record on the books (Kathy Lawson – 1971) a few times over the course of the season. And after a few close calls, she finally broke through in the 100 meters at New Englands crossing in a new state record of 12.00.

The Exeter Girls 4×800 squad of Eli Cross, Isabelle Bremer, Brianna Paterna and Alexis Paterna smashed the state record at the MOCs solo crossing in 9:08.57.

On the boys side, Winnacunnet’s Owen Janetos broke through at the MOC’s to clock a dream 400 time of 47.68. In the field and also at the MOCs, John Stark’s Rio Calle leapt to a state record in the Long Jump of 23’07.25″!

The 4×100 and 4×400 meter Relay state records also went down. The Pinkerton team of Travis Cavallo, Winston George, Elijah Roberts and Jamison Isaac lowered the 4×100 state record in 41.92!

The most fun record had to be the 4×400 though! The record exchanged hands a few times over the course of the season including an incredible three team battle at MOCs where Central prevailed holding the record! However, Winnacunnet which broke the record at the Clipper Relays earlier in the season, loaded up at the New Englands with Ryan Jamison, Daniel Dumont, Ryan Zumbach and Owen Janetos to take the record back at 3:21.18!

Below is the list of the Division records set at this past season’s respective Divisional State Championships! Congrats to all and enjoy! After all, records are made to be broken!
