NH JV State Championship Meet Hub
Once again, the championship season kicked off with the NH JV D2/D3 State Championships yesterday at Coe-Brown. The day featured a genuine fall feel with a swirling wind . XC weather in NH is finally here. Girls kicked things off.
Girls Race

Leading the charge was Oyster River’s Gabriella DeLong, who took the individual win in 22:54.5, setting the tone for the Bobcats’ runaway performance. She was followed by teammates Clemence Chopard (23:20.0) and freshman Zoey Garnas (23:29.0) in second and third, giving Oyster River a 1-2-3 punch no other team could match. Drew Verweij (5th, 24:02.1) and Lily Courtemanche (6th, 24:34.6) sealed the scoring, while Carrigan Sekera (8th) and Samantha Caron (31st) added depth. This added up to a scant 17 points with only Plymouth’s Acacia Hartley breaking up the clean sweep by placing 4th in 24:02.

Behind them, Souhegan displayed its own balance and depth, finishing second with 55 points. The Sabers placed five in the top 16, led by Olivia Faucher (7th, 25:03.8) and Danielle MacIntosh (10th, 26:24.7). Veterans Merrie Truslow (13th), Jordan Lussier (15th), and sophomore Seryn DeLucia (16th) rounded out their scoring five. Plymouth Regional claimed third with 77 points, powered by sophomore Hartley. Coe-Brown placed fourth with 83 points, led by senior Charlotte Hanscom (9th overall).
Boys Race

The boys race saw freshman Grant Sauls set the tone early, pulling away for the individual gun-to-tape victory in 18:14.8. Behind him, Coe-Brown packed tightly with sophomore Connor Sullivan (3rd, 18:57.1), freshman Landis Beckman (4th, 19:06.3), and sophomore Jack Goodridge (5th, 19:16.0) filling the top five, while freshman Jameson Neal sealed the scoring in 8th (19:36.0). With all five scorers inside the top eight and a team average of 19:02, the Bears’ 1:21 spread secured them the team title with just 21 points.

2024 Champs, Oyster River followed in second with 39 points, led by sophomore Simon Lamb (2nd, 18:54.5). The Bobcats’ scoring pack of Forest Eberl (6th, 19:22.4), Elias Pratt (7th, 19:35.8), Gavin Kenoyer (10th, 19:46.8), and Caden Laberis (14th, 20:08.5) ran closely, posting an average of 19:34 — a strong showing itself. Souhegan placed 3rd totaling 87 points. Keenan Burke (12th, 19:54.7) and freshman Ripken Lee (13th, 20:02.0) led the way, with Owen Conforti (17th), Gideon Allen (22nd), and JD Conforti (23rd) rounding out the scoring. Lebanon took fourth with 106 points, paced by freshman Warren Ramsay (16th, 20:14.0) and juniors Ian George (18th) and Ian Danen-Lucier (19th).
