Congratulations to Exeter’s Alexis Paterna as she qualified for Brooks (formerly Footlocker) Nationals to be held in San Diego in 2 weeks. Against a stellar field, Paterna took 6th in 17:25 at the Northeast Regional Championship at Franklin Park in Boston earlier today. The top 10 individuals in each championship race earned auto qualifiers to nationals. Her sister Brianna placed an impressive 35th in 18:50. Keep in mind athletes from as far south as Washington DC make the trek to compete at this regional.
On the boys side, NH had a strong day placing 4 in the top 21! Keene’s Sullivan Sturtz placed 16th in 15:48. Monadnock’s Peyton Joslyn was right behind him in 18th clocking 15:51. Fall Mountain’s Elijah Bodanza placed 20th in 15:53 a step in front of Pinkerton’s Jason Robie who took 21st in 15:54. Robie’s teammate Trainor Mailloux placed 35th in 16:14.
Congrats to all!
