Division 1 athletes went to work this weekend. State records are clearly not safe. States are one month away. Keep up the hard work and don’t get left behind.
High Jump Girls 10th Spot–4’10” Boys 10th Spot–5’10”
The girls Top 10 stayed the same through the weekend. Three girls jumped their season best. Isabella Schreiner (Windham) 5’3” had the biggest improvement, jumping three inches higher than her previous best this season! The boys raised the bar one inch, with the 10th spot being 5’10’’ thanks to Wayne Crowell (Keene) clearing 6’0” and establishing himself in the Top 10.
Long Jump Girls 10th Spot–15’6.25″ Boys 10th Spot–18’3″
The girls Top 10 is an inch further away from the board this week compared to last week. The Top 10 welcomes Katie Coleman (Pinkerton), who jumped 15’6.25” this weekend. The boys saw one join the ranks, and he cleared 20 feet! Leighton Freytag (Pinkerton) jumped 20’4”. Ceasar Flahn (Manchester Central) jumped over 18 inches further than his season best with a 22’2” jump! There were three others improving their season bests as well.
Shot Put Girls 10th Spot–31’0.5” Boys 10th Spot–41’00”
There was no movement in the Top 10 on the girls side. The boys saw Thomas Blaszka (Pinkerton) reach his shot put out to 52’0.5” feet! Dominick Coffie (Nashua North) 42’10.75” was the only other athlete to improve his position in the Top 10.
55m Hurdles Girls 10th Spot–9.72 Boys 10th Spot–8.42
Rowan DeCew (Exeter) 9.44 and Ava LaBatt (Keene) 9.69 find themselves in the Top 10 this week. The boys saw the top four times this year posted. John Child (Pinkerton), Oliver Gould (Pinkerton), Wayne Crowell (Keene), and Ryan Jaminson (Winnacunnet) all ran season bests.
55m Girls 10th Spot–7.71 Boys 10th Spot–6.82
There were two girls who ran season bests this weekend; Carolyn Milks (Portsmouth) 7.52 and Kathleen Lynch (Dover) 7.53. There were no changes in the Top 10 times for the boys.
300m Girls 10th Spot–43.67 Boys 10th Spot–37.54
Angela Cenesca (Manchester Central) finds herself at the top of the battlenotes with her 41.25! Abigail Stienecker (Pinkerton) is now in the Top 10 with her 43.25. The boys saw Owen Janetos (Winnacunnet) run 35.00 seconds, dipping under Dominque Worsley’s state record of 35.02! Shout out to Ewa Edokpolo (Manchester Memorial) who is now in the Top 10 with his 36.78.

600m Girl 10th Spots–1:44.43 Boys 10th Spot–1:27.69
There were four girls who ran season bests this weekend who were all in the Top 10 last week. Congratulations to Izzie Bremer (Exeter) 1:39.45, Sarah Rzasa (Pinkerton) 1:39.81, Grace McIlroy (Exeter) 1:40.61, and Nicole Blake (Pinkerton) 1:42.25. The boys saw two newcomers rocket themselves to the top of the Battlenotes. Joe Gustavson (Pinkerton) 1:23.37 and Ryan Jamison (Winnacunnet) 1:23.77. Gavin Suchecki (Nashua North) improved his spot by running 1:27.53.
1000m Girl 10th Spots–3:13.45 Boys 10th Spot–2:40.97
There was a lot of movement in the girls 1000m and they lowered the standard by three seconds this past weekend. Mikita Barry (Bedford) improved her state leading time by six seconds to 2:52.64, only four seconds off the state record held by Leya Salis of Bedford. Madie Poteet (Exeter) positioned herself in the 2nd spot with a 3:06.49. Congratulations to Anna Sinclair (Bishop Guertin) 3:12.89, Grace Boll (Bedford) 3:13.12, and Vera McCown (Winnacunnet) 3:13.45 on their Top 10 performances. Not to be outdone, the boys lowered their standard by four seconds. There were six boys joining the ranks this week. Jason Robie (Pinkerton) 2:34.85, Josh Twomey (Londonderry) 2:36.19, Carson Fitzgerald (Londonderry) 2:38.61, Austin Cipriano (Pinkerton) 2:40.35, Trainor Mailloux (Pinkerton) 2:40.95, and Sean Hayes (Pinkerton) 2:40.97.
1500m Girl 10th Spots–5:07.74 Boys 10th Spot–4:27.55
The Bishop Guertin girls Zoe Coler 5:00.81, Shannon Forsyth 5:03.66, Jaylyn Paul 5:03.83, and Lyla Masson 5:07.40 dropped the time eight seconds to join the Top 10! The boys saw Owen Gagnon (Nasua North) establish himself into the Top 10 with a season best of 4:27.55. Ethan Fischer (Bishop Guertin) 4:02.50 and Cole Burns (Nashua North) 4:14.91 both ran season bests of 7+ seconds.
3000m Girl 10th Spots–11:19.61 Boys 10th Spot–9:33.19
Similar to the 1500 the 3000 had four girls from the same school lower the standard for the Top 10 by nine seconds. Exeter’s Lexi Paterna 9:40.12, Bri Paterna 10:27.32, Molly Kells 11:15.68, and Ashleigh MacEachern 11:18.10. Lexi Paterna put the state record of 9:35.70 on notice. This is a conversion from her 2 mile this past weekend which happens to be #1 in the USA currently! The boys Top 10 standard shrank by seven seconds thanks to the efforts of Lucas Gomez (Salem) 8:59.32 and Logen Poteet (Exeter) 9:24.02.
