77th Clipper Relays Recap, Meet Broadcast, Interviews, Pics!

The 77th Clipper Relays truly lived up to expectations as 23 D1, D2, and D3 teams from across NH tested their depth contesting relays both on the track and on the field. Host Portsmouth actually swept both team titles with Bedford also sweeping runner-up honors! Unlike the 2017 Bedford champs who won 9 events, the Portsmouth girls did not win one event while the boys only won 2 (Pole Vault and Javelin). Both the girls and boys teams sprayed point across all disciplines, a true representation of team that especially gets brought out in relay events. Team was certainly the theme of this ultra-fun night culminating with the Buffalo Relay and the Chicken dance. Kudos once again to Portsmouth High for putting on a great event celebrating our sport despite the weather challenge (huge downpour!!!) presented prior to the start of the meet.
