ENTRY DEADLINE WEDNESDAY 6:00PM!!!
Hi All,
The Granite State Games is a showcase of New Hampshire’s top underclass athletes. The Track and Field portion of the games will take place on Saturday June 25th, 2016 at Memorial High School in Manchester. There will be 4 regional teams (Monadnock, Southern, Coastal, & Lakes) that will compete for New Hampshire’s top region. The meet will feature all of the high school events and will be run just like the state meets. Medals will go to the top 3 individuals in each event and team trophies to the top teams and runners ups. There will be medals also for the top 3 relays (4×800, 4×400, & 4×100).
Last year the games featured over 100 athletes in the Track and Field portion. This year we look to have up to 200 competing in this New Hampshire only meet. Results of the meet last year can be found at http://lancertiming.com/results/fall15/GSG/index.htm . Lancer Timing will be timing the event again this year. Rick Berryman was quoted as saying, “This was an extremely fun meet for the kids.” It was truly a fun day for all involved.
To register for the games please go to http://granitestategames.org/register/finalist-registration/ and fill out the finalist form. When accepted, your area coach will reach out to you for potential practices. Along with your registration you will receive a game jersey and a parade T-shirt. There will be an opening ceremonies for the games on the Thursday before the meet.
We are also accepting applications for assistant coaches and volunteers that would like to help during this special event. There is an application on the games website or you can email me directly.
Thank you,
