Congratulations NH!  Competing at Indoor New Englands takes dedication since it takes place 3 weeks after our state championships. Competing is one thing, excelling is another!  Below are some of the highlights from yesterday’s phenomenal track and field meet down at Boston’s Reggie Lewis Center.  Above is a link to all the results and video replays.

A top 10 finish is a great accomplishment, medaling is phenomenal, and winning a New England title is extremely unique.  Headlining the 603 achievements begins with the Pinkerton boys as they not only placed 2nd in the 4×200, but took down the NH State record in the process stopping the clock in 1:31.05.   South’s Paul Marchand should also grab part of the headline as he had a great morning, placing 3rd in the Long Jump soaring 22’1″ but also was a close 9th in 6.63 in the Dash.  Exeter’s Dante Radigonda scored the highest individual place on the podium for Granite Staters as he ran to a gutsy runner-up finish in the 600 in 1:20.18.

4×200 member, Pinkerton’s Conor Seleny began his day placing 7th in the Hurdles with a time of 7.74.  NH also had another top 10 finish in the Long Jump as Spaulding’s Ryan Lane placed 7th with 21’5.5″.  North’s Victoria Conrad also placed 7th in the Shot Put with a 38’10.25″.  She edged St. Thomas’s Mady Buchalski by 5′ as she placed 8th.  Also in the Shot Put, NH State Champ, Central’s Jassiah Francis placed 9th with a mark of 52’9.75″.

Exeter girls 4×200 meter relay placed 9th in 1:47.59, while their teammate Grace Mercier also placed 9th with a time of 3:04.14.  Oyster River’s Myles Carrico placed 7th winning the 2nd heat with a time of 2:33.12 while Bedford’s Zach Verow placed 10th in the 300 meters with a time of 35.95.  Souhegan’s Chloe Trudel and BG’s Caroline Towle continued their great indoor seasons as the pair placed 7th and 8th with times of 11:00.73 and 11:07.67 respectively.

Congrats to all who competed.  Good luck to those moving on to New Balance Indoor Nationals in 2 weeks.  And we will see the rest of you in the spring!!!
