NH!!!  You did it for real this time!  You SWEPT the Mid-Season Track Classic over Massachusetts and Rhode Island!  For the 3rd time NH participated as part of the LET’S GO Virtual Race Series brought to you by BayStateRunning (BSR).

The Granite State dominated the boys’ competition defeating Massachusetts, 91-51. It was a closer affair for the girls where NH scored 53 points for the win. RI and MA tied for second with 42 points each.

Coe-Brown’s Luke Tkaczyk was a double winner as he won the Mile in 4:27.8 and the 5000 meters in 15:55.3.   Matter of fact, NH won 4 of the 5 events as South’s Paul Marchand won the 100 in 10.9 seconds.  The 100 actually saw the MOC 2019-180.jpgGranite State take the top 4 places with CBNA’s Anders Larson placing 2nd in 12.29, Gilford’s Patrick Gandini was 3rd in 12.5 and Dover’s William Hicking was 4th in 13.11.

Tkaczyk’s teammate, Porter Heigis continued his win streak as well taking the 400 meters with Gandini also scornig a 4th place finish.  Supporting Tkaczyk in the mile was his teammate Wyatt Mackey who placed 5th in 4:36.3 and Windham’s Trey Gonzalez who placed 6th in 4:37.2.   CBNA’s Lars Hogne placed 2nd behind Tkaczyk in the 5000 meters in 16:51.2 while Mackey led the NH contingent in the 800 placing 2nd in 2:07 with Hanover’s Ian Nolon and Londonderry’s Will Plante placing 3rd and 4th respectively.

The NH Girls won 3 of the 5 events contested. BG’s Fiona Doherty took the 800 in 2:23.43 while Coe-Brown’s Emma Larson placed MOC 2019-238.jpg6th in 2:57.    In the 100 meters, South’s Madeline Stevens edged Hanover’s Ella Maclean 12.73 to 12.9 as NH went 1-2.  Coe-Brown’s Addison Cox won again as she took the 5000 meters in 18:43.2 as the lone NH competitor.

South’s Nadia Zhecheva placed 2nd in the 400 in 63.8 with Doherty placing 5th in 66.43 and Coe-Brown’s Libby White taking 6th in 68.0.  While in the Mile a pair of Coe-Brown freshmen placed 2nd and 3rd with Mallory Taylor (5:45) and Sheldyn Fisher (5:47).
