HOKA Female Athlete of the Week! Oyster River’s Mackenzie Cook!

Each week we will be highlighting one male and female athlete who stood out with their cumulative performances of the weekUntitled photo and/or had one jaw-dropping pop of a mark.

This week, on the girls’ side, the single outstanding performance has to be Oyster River’s Mackenzie Cook’s solo 3000 meter effort at Plymouth posting a 10:34.84.  Yes she has run a tick faster this season, at Boston University’s blazing fast track in spikes, which is the top time in the state as of right now, but this is a tad more impressive considering she was by herself, on a flat track, without spikes.  Cook is no stranger to running from the front and also has one of the top times in the state in the 1500, 5:04.  Congrats to Mackenzie Cook, this week’s HOKA Female Athlete of the Week!
