Regardless of the calendar, Fall has arrived and athletes from around the state are drawing toward DeMeritt Hill Farm in Lee, NH for this year’s Bobcat Invitational! They will have the opportunity to run through the apple orchards on one of the more challenging, but picturesque XC courses in NH. Bring your best race as well as a few bucks for apple picking and meet day may be your favorite day in September!
The Bobcat has 25 schools attending. The teams attending are: Division 1’s Bedford, Alvirne, Central, Memorial, Spaulding, Winnacunnet, Exeter, and Londonderry; Division 2’s Bow, Goffstown, Oyster River, Pembroke, Lebanon, Con-Val, and Hollis-Brookline; Division 3’s Sanborn, St. Thomas, Pelham, Epping, Monadnock, Campbell, Hopkinton, Portsmouth Christian and Newmarket. Belmont Hill School in Mass will also be in attendance.
The course features 2400 meters of double-wide wooded trails and 2600 meters of grass paths circumnavigating one of the most picturesque apple orchards New England has to offer. The course is challenging, with an uphill start and rolling hills throughout. Patience is the name of the game on this course as runners will want to have some reserve for the climb leading up to the finish, which is the steepest of them all!
