What to Watch For: MV Invite

The 2016 Merrimack Valley Invitational is slated to begin at 10:00am this Saturday, April 23rd in Penacook, NH.  It promises to be an incredible day of track and field with 33 teams and over 1000 athletes,

General information regarding the meet including order of events, performance lists and meet records can be found on the MV Track and Field Website.

New this year will be Live Results

Girls

  • Maegan Doody (OR) v. Kristie Schoffield (MV) v. Elisabeth Danis (CBNA) in the 1600
  • Corinne Kennedy (Leb) v. Skylar Goss (Pelham) v. Jaila Remillard (Winnasquam) in the Highs
  • How dominant will Dominque Twombly (OR) be in the sprints?
  • Who will be the story in the throws?  Merchant sisters from Lebanon?  Collins from CBNA?
  • What about the jumps?  Lebanon and now OR seem to be the strongest!

Boys

  • 3200!!!  Repucci (Hopkinton) v. O’Brien (OR) v. Brown (Kennett) v. Daly (Inter-Lakes) Wow!
  • Can Troy Davis (Keasarge) sweep the Long and High Jump?
  • Can Wood (MV) sweep the hurdles?
  • Will a dominant sprinter emerge Saturday?

SCHEDULE CHANGES TO BOTH STATE MEETS

8:00am D1 schools arrive (Buses drop off and then park at Plymouth Elementary school)

9:00 Field Events start

10:30 Running Events start

1:15ish D1 meet ends

1:15-2:15 D1 buses pick up teams in the circle 

3:15pm D2 schools arrive (Do not arrive early. Buses drop off and then park at Plymouth Elementary school)

4:15 Field Events start

5:45 Running Events start

8:30ish D2 meet ends

8:30 D2 buses pick up teams in the circle

A gap has been included between sessions in case of a delay of some kind during the D1 meet. Incoming / Outgoing Buses can NOT be allowed to overlap like last year.
