Under near perfect conditions for most events, the Granite State boasted 4 individual titles and a state record.  Winnacunnet’s Billy Powers claimed the New England title in the Highs in 14.09 and nearly the 300 Hurdles placing a close second in 38.06.  Jackie Gaughan won the 3200 with a measured effort of 10:38.60 to cap a year which saw the Exeter junior win the New England XC and indoor 3200 meter titles as well.

North’s Triston Delicema, only a sophomore, leaped into the 48′ range again to become New England Champ in the Triple.  Merrimack Valley’s Kristie Schoffield, once again running a tactically superior race, blazed to her 800 meter title in 2:06.90.  Schoffield joins Hannah Parker (Coe-Brown) as the only other female athlete from NH to run in the 2:06s!  While Schoffield had a near state record, Pinkerton’s Noah Woodman ran the fastest 400 in NH History racing to a 4th place finish in 48.24 to break Londonderry’s Steve Carroll’s 2009 record of 48.29!
