What a day! After a weather postponement pushing the meet to Sunday, NH’s first ever double Divisional Championships was held at Sanborn High School. Yep, both Division 2 and Division 3 Championships were held concurrently at one location. It promised double the champions, double the competition, double the celebration so double the fun! And it delivered. Organizers gave a healthy stagger between field events and the start of the track events. So we will begin the recap with field events!
Field Events

With the concurrent format, field events certainly took center stage for the first 2+ hours of the meet building drama all along. All-American Danielle Bates of Timberlane cleared 5-4 to win but was pushed by Camden Wilson of Bow (5-2) and Rowan Laundry of Lebanon (5-0) who both made the podium. Julia Hou of Bow and Shannon Elizabeth of Coe-Brown both cleared 10-0 in the pole vault, with Hou earning the win on fewer misses. Mackenzie Szczepanik of Bow claimed third at 9-6.
In the long jump, Eshaya Lauder of Manchester West jumped 17-2.5 to win on her final jump! Sprints & Hurdles

Three of the best high hurdlers in the state faced off and of course it was close and exciting. Moments after the long jump wrapped up, Avery Baumgardt of Oyster River bounced back to win the 100 hurdle title in 15.17, holding off Bristol Shirland of Coe-Brown (15.23) on the lean. With the Triple Jump win, that makes Baumgardt another double champ. Grace Dow of Hollis-Brookline (15.46) was a close 3rd.
Dow came back to win the 300 hurdles in 47.42. Elizabeth Carty of Oyster River (47.97) and Norah Pelletier of Kingswood (49.32) completed the top three.

In the 100 meters, freshman Lilah Fitzpatrick of Coe-Brown showed poise beyond her years, taking the win in 12.62 going away. Jennifer Watson of Plymouth Regional (13.01) and Kylie Rapoza of Kingswood (13.06) rounded out the podium.
The double champion of the sprints was Charlotte Beaudoin of Timberlane. She began by winning the 400 in a comfortable (is the 400 ever comfortable?) 58.18. Mary Westrich of Hanover (60.84) and Rapoza (61.14) took second and third, respectively. Beaudoin then came back to win the 200 in a swift 25.55. Lee doubled in the 300m hurdles, winning in a thrilling 39.82 after battling with defending state champ Mychal Reynolds of Merrimack Valley, who fought like a champion, placing second (40.21), followed by McCammack (41.09).

One of the more anticipated events was the 100 meters, Samuel Bruneau of Hollis-Brookline delivered a blazing run of 10.64 seconds (yes record breaking, but the tail wind was too strong). Avery Wilson of Milford NH was a close second in 10.69, followed by Quintin Plourde of Kennett (10.79). Wilson returned in the 200 meters to claim victory in 21.36, narrowly missing the Division II record. Plourde (21.72) and Talon Ouellette of Oyster River (22.14) rounded out the top three.
The 400 meters was also highly anticipated with a few of the competitors having gone under 50 seconds this season. Ross Stephens of Con-Val would emerge as the champ here in 49.21 after battling Ouellette (49.68) and Kenyon Sora of Milford NH (50.42).
Distance

William Simard of Con-Val employed a devastating close to claim the 1600m title in 4:29.70, ahead of Simon Butka of Kingswood (4:33.54) and Isaac McNaughton of Hanover (4:34.28). Logan Korthals and Grant Skorupan of Milford battled with Luc Kerouac of Coe-Brown down to the wire in the 800 meters with the Milford boys finishing 1-2 respectively in 1:59.93 and 1:59.94 to Kerouac’s 2:00.27. Simard returned to place second in the 3200m (9:47.20), behind Andrew Valentino of Hanover, who impressively won in 9:23.71. He led gun to tape immediately stringing out the field. Oliver Lehman of Oyster River finished third in 9:50.50.
Relays
Milford was dominant in the relays, sweeping the 4×100 (43.36), 4×400 with a Division II record-breaking 3:25.47, and 4×800 (8:27.08). Con-Val took second in both the 4×100 and 4×400, while Coe-Brown and Plymouth Regional placed second and third respectively in the 4×800.
Team Championship
After trailing for much of the day Milford emerged as the most complete and best team of Division 2 in 2025. They tallied 85 points behind Avery Wilson, a superior middle distance crew and the best relays. The exciting aspect, came down to the runner up plaque in a throwdown showdown between Coe-Brown and MV which came down to the 4×400 relay, the final event. In the end it was Coe-Brown (68) edging Merrimack Valley (67) in a tightly contested race. And check out Con-Val which took 4th with 65. 3 schools separated by 3 points. Awesome.
