New Balance Outdoor Nationals with links to Nationals Information and Live Stream!
Several athletes from New Hampshire are making the trip to Greensboro, NC for the 2017 New Balance Outdoor Nationals this weekend. Competing in the Championship section of the High Hurdles, Mr. NH Track and Field Billy Powers (Winnacunnet) has a legit shot at All-American (Top 6). He will also be competing in the 400 meter hurdles and teammate Philip Antonio is slated to compete in the 100 meter dash. Lebanon’s Corinne Kennedy, gaining experience in the 800 every week, could surprise many in the Championship 800. Souhegan’s 4×800 meter relay team is also in the championship section led by senior Madeline Hunt. Hunt is also slated to run the 2 -mile.
Tonight, West’s Julia Robitaille will be competing in the 5000 (remember JackieGaughan’s success last year?). Milford’s Rebecca Durham is entered in both the mile and 2 mile. Sanborn’s Meg Sheehan is all set to throw as is Coe-Brown’s Orion Clachar in the javelin. Londonderry’s Tim Zepf is also slated to compete in the 800.
MV’s Kristie Schoffield, Exeter’s Jackie Gaughan, and Bedford’s Leya Salis have all opted to compete at the Brook’s PR Invitational in Seattle, Washington. New England Champ Schoffield and Salis will be competing in the 800 while New England 3200 Champ Gaughan will be looking to break the 10:00 barrier in the 2 mile. They are also competing against the very best. Slated for Saturday, Brooks PR only invites a select few for each event.
Good Luck to All!!!
